Why these exist
Three questions come up for every freelancer, usually at the worst moment: what should I charge, how much of this do I owe in tax, and what happens if the client disappears halfway through. None of them needs an account to answer, so none of these asks for one.
The rate calculator works backwards from the life you want — target income, the weeks you actually intend to work, the hours of that week that are billable rather than admin — instead of asking you to guess a number and hope. The self-employment tax calculator estimates the bill that blindsides people every April: the payroll tax an employer used to split with you, plus federal income tax, broken into what to set aside each quarter. The contract generator turns a few answers into a plain-language agreement covering scope, payment terms, revisions and who owns the work at the end.
